Although Eastern Europe’s levels of water pollution are quite low, it is still a reoccurring problem for the Europeans. Although the short term effects on humans is little to none, but long term effects on plants are very destructive. The introduction of new and harmful substances to the plants cause them to not perform accordingly. This can lead to eutrophication and hazardous waste being distributed through water ways. This is all usually caused by industrial emissions and farming.
